As-Salam-O-Aliakum! There were very Wonderful Session on "Orcas" as well as WWF. I attended the PDC first time this time. I really appreciate the knowledge conveyed and the way it was conveyed. Best Regards, Agha Muhammad Sibtain. Software Engineer.
I really enjoyed attending PDC 2007. Mr. Hashmi i am was astonished when you opened such topic there, which was incomplete by the microsoft yes i am talking about 'Orcas'. I am soory to bug you but you also was not prepared for that as well. You was stuck at very first questions and even was not able to to answer question of transaction management.
You said i cannot answer this time but at that time many people from your audience knows that "Orcas" can manage transactions.
This is not enough saying that "I acn talk on this topic for at least 3 hours". When a microsoft MVP continously says this sentence it means he is just wasting time.
I am sorry but i am ashamed on you.
Please leave MVP post for others who can do this very perfectly.
JazakAllah Khair. It was a wonderful seminar on "Visual Studio Orcas & .Net Framework 3.5".
Though i was not expecting most of it to be on just LINQ, but it was quite interesting. Though you presented most of the stuff quite gracefully and perfectly, there were times that you hit a wall, thus leaving room for questions.
Like for instance, when one attendee asked that using SQL Stored Procedures, you don't need to recompile the whole application, you could have very well pointed out that LINQ queries could be bundled in a class library thus avoiding compilation of the whole project in this case too.
Similarly, there are some doubts i have about how you said that LINQ statements are set at compile time or something like that - isn't it possible to change selection criteria or order at run-time for linq? For example; 'OrderBy = ColumnName' where ColumnName is set on method call, i.e. at run-time. Couldn't this work, as the return data and everything is known at compilation, but it is simply the order of the record that is changing?
LINQ is definitely going to change the way programming is done - i just love how it works with custom objects, datasets, etc. Though to be honest, i am Querying dataSets and dataTables in my current projects without the use of any 3rd party component without any difficulty.
But... To Human is to err. And after all, you are nothing but a human, eh! Overall, it was an awesome experience, and i really enjoyed myself. I just wish that i could have attended your Windows Workflow presentation, but since i lead a crazy life, i had to get home to get sleep otherwise i would have gone insane. (I work at Premier POS, Inc. as an off-shore employee and work almost 12-14 hours per day these days, sleeping at day rather at night)
I was looking forward to getting Orcas DVDs and other cool stuff, but unfortunately nothing! :(
Thanks again for a great presentation! See you next time.

adnan bhai your presentation were brilliant as always, and i love attending all your sessions. i do not think that the critism by the previous commentors is right. you answered all questions from the audience brilliantly and your one of the best speakers we have. thanks for being here.
Hi All, Every body who are reading these comments. Thanks, Rizwan Ahmed
I guess What ali/spartan said is completly an unhealthy comments.I think he just want a SUPER Presenter who knows every thing. This will never be possible for any presenter.Adnan did a great job presenting infront of more than 1000 people. It is never been easy.People who dont care for presenters should not attend such events becuase they dont deserve it. Adnan your second session about WWF was good and was very helpful for me.
